Commercial Services

The attorneys in the Commercial Services Group of Curtin & Heefner LLP provide legal advice and representation focused on the distinct concerns of banks, municipal authorities, corporations and other business organizations on a wide range of commercial matters including:

CREDITORS' RIGHTS
The representation of clients including, for example, as lenders, vendors, lessors, mortgagees and taxing authorities, throughout the nation protecting and enforcing their rights as creditors. Such representation may involve the negotiation of workouts with debtors, the initiation and prosecution of actions to recover money or property, and the defense of clients in proceedings, in federal and state courts, including the United States Bankruptcy Court, trial and appellate courts.

COMMERCIAL LITIGATION
The representation of clients in litigation in federal and state courts throughout the nation involving all aspects of general commercial activity, including, for example, issues regarding contract disputes, shareholder disagreements, lender liability claims, negotiable instruments, letters of credit, real estate, employment disputes, foreclosures, tax assessment appeals, bankruptcy and insurance coverage.

BANKING LAW
The representation of banks and other financial institutions in the structuring, negotiation and preparation of documents for all types of commercial loan transactions including tax free loans, term loans, lines of credit, asset based loans, merger and acquisition loans, equipment leasing, bridge loans, SBA guaranteed loans, syndications and participations. The attorneys in the Commercial Services Group have prepared computerized "shelf" documentation for numerous banks customized to meet the specific needs of a particular client on a system wide basis. The attorneys in the Commercial Services Section also appear on behalf of financial institutions before state and federal regulatory agencies and advise financial institutions concerning all aspects of regulatory law
