The Bucks County Bar Association presented its annual President’s Award to Curtin & Heefner LLP associate John J. Hart (pictured above Left).  In honoring Mr. Hart outgoing Bar Association President Brian McGuffin praised Mr. Hart’s dedicated service to the Bar Association and community.

Mr. Hart has served on the Bar Association Board of Directors for four (4) years and has taken a lead in addressing the Association’s insurance-related concerns. Mr. Hart has also been a leader in continuing legal education efforts and has taught classes on a variety of civil litigation issues.  Mr. Hart has also presented continuing legal education courses on a variety of civil litigation topics.

Frank Guarrieri, Managing Partner at Curtin & Heefner, congratulated Mr. Hart on his award stating, “We are proud of John Hart’s leadership role in the Bucks County legal community.  His service and commitment to advancing the profession makes him a role model within the firm and within the broader legal community.”

The Bucks County Bar Association presented its annual Mark E. Goldberg Community Service Award to Frank Guarrieri, Managing Partner of Curtin & Heefner LLP (pictured above Right).  In honoring Mr. Guarrieri the Bar Association noted his humble commitment to community and humanitarian service both in and outside of the legal profession.In addition to his long-running service as a member of the Board of Trustees of Holy Ghost Preparatory School, Mr. Guarrieri serves as Chairman of the Medical Board at St. Mary Medical Center. He has also served St. Mary’s in other leadership capacities, including as Chair of the St. Mary Medical Center Foundation Board and, with his wife Mary Ann as co-chairs of the St. Mary Gala on multiple occasions.

Mr. Guarrieri serves as president of “Tu Puedes” (translated as “You Can”), an organization that is committed to building schools and helping with education needs in underprivileged areas. Mr. and Mrs. Guarrieri have traveled to other areas of the world, including the Dominican Republic and Peru, to aid struggling communities.

In his role of Managing Partner at Curtin & Heefner, Mr. Guarrieri supports pro bono services.  In addition to the firm’s financial contributions, firm attorneys are encouraged to sign up for pro bono work through Legal Aid of Southeast Pennsylvania and the Bucks County Bar Association.  Firm attorneys are also asked to take an active role in civic organizations and to serve as a Board member for local charities and nonprofit organizations.
